[Advaita-l] Question on the posture to be followed in Upasana

    Brahma sutra sadhana phaladhyaya, while dealing with various aspects of
Sadhana of the Saguna brahman, states that a sitting posture is preferred.

As in BS 4.1.7 - //Aasinah Sambhavaath//

The same point is expatiated upon, in BS 4.1.8, 4.1.9, 4.1.10.

But the Manu Smriti states that in the morning, the Pratah Sandhya Gayatri
japam/dhyanam should be done in a standing posture only.

How is this contradiction to be resolved?
