 Dear Sri Swati Gupta,
 One who tries to know the smell of a rose has to hold the rose near his nose.If he holds the rose the  near his ear  by what  other name than 
panDitamurKa  he be called?
Stephen Hawking is a great scientist . I respect him for hisscientific knowledge. But he lacks the scientific temperement. 
He does not know or aware of the instrument or means of knowledgeto investigate whether God exists or not. Yet he makes such a statement.  
My two paise .
