Dear Subbu ji
Currently most science especially that which is employed in AI is premised
on consciousness being an emergent phenomenon of matter, arising
when matter is configured in certain complex ways. So adherents of this
reductionist materialism - where everything is reducible to physical
phenomena- are the “noble” inheritors of the legacy of Virocana of the
chāndogya upaniṣad.

There is as much chance of the narcissistic adherents of strong-AI
understanding Advaitam Caitanyam, as there is of Hiraṇyakaśipu finding Śrī
Hari in Vaikunṭha, which is zilch.

AI is certainly a super tool just like nuclear weapons. And when the people
in power who control both these tools are significantly devoid of any
clarity about dharma and mokṣa, we can only say, “Hail Mary” about the
future impact of them on humankind.

I don’t know the current wisdom on the dissenting voice of Roger Penrose
etc who rigorously showed that any algorithmic process cannot mimic
Conscious processes.

Om
Raghav
