That is quite an interesting approach whereby all Shruti or bhAShya vAkyAs

So, job is simple. We need to just check the Shruti/Smriti/bhAshya which
says prANa merges during sushupti. If it says so, it is DSV. This is one of
the crucial parameters.

Indeed. We merely need to understand what revered AchAryAs of sampradAya
have taught.
