ugh as if I didn't have enough on my plate, I have discovered that Google 
is throttling our mail to gmail users.  It is not outright blocked, you do 
receive it eventually but often out of order as you have noticed.  This 
can be fixed with some software changes they want everyone to make. I will 
comply because they are good  ideas anyway but it is irritating to be 
strongarmed into doing it.  So hold on, you won't have this problem much 
longer.
