Namaste

Dr. Maheswaran (M), in his inaugural class of the 'Advaitānyamata
khanḍanam', a work of Bellamkonda Rāmarāya Kavi, gives a short introduction
about the author, his works and particularly this text that he is taking up
for an exposition over several classes. The highlights of his introduction
in this video:

https://youtu.be/DCcSshC5DUg?si=Z5IJsa2Yt-dfXVRO

1. The text can't be regarded as a 'prauḍha grantha' (= not of a very high
order).
2. The purpose of this exposition by M is* only to inform the interested
about the defects in the non-Advaitic doctrines. * The book serves that
purpose.

One can hear that introduction up to 9.30 minutes in the video.

It's quite natural that when someone of a sampradaya crosses over to a
rival sampradaya, the adherents of the former feel piqued. When the
defector is subjected to criticism by the host sampradaya, that brings a
sort of pleasure to those piqued.

There are instances across all sampradayas where disagreements are
expressed even between co-adherents.

warm regards
subbu
