So the statement anirvachaniyo'ham doesn't make sense. There is never a situation where the Self is not known, only the "amount" of Self.

Yes, I raised this same doubt. How can our svarUpa jnAna which is sAkshAt aparOksha nishchita jnAnaM be anirvachaneeya or sat asat vilakshaNaM?? When the brahma jnAna itself capable enough to eradicate sarva saMshayAH, how can we say my svarUpa jnAna is something neither sat nor asat etc. Is this jnAna not conclusive (nishchita!!) Do the mahAvakya-s like tattvamasi, aham brahmAsmi etc. talking only about satasad vilakshaNa jnAnam of brahman or anirvachaneeyatvaM of brahma tattva?? Yes, we agree that brahmaatma jnAna is NOT 'vyavahAra gOchara vastu' but that does not mean svarUpa nishchaya jnAna is something sadasat vilakshaNaM. Again yes, mAya has been explained as tatvAnyatvAbhyAm anirvachaneeyaH by bhAshyakAra but I don’t think svarUpa nishchita jnAna or sva-svarUpa jnAna comes under this anirvachaneeya category.
Hari Hari Hari Bol!!!
