[Advaita-l] Meditation on the Nirguna Brahman results in Parama Ananda

Respected Sir,
Certain words cannot be explained positively, but only negatively.
For example, 'health, healthy' can be described only as absence of any
affliction. Similarly, ignorance and darkness can be explained only
negatively - absence of knowledge, absence of light. But, light, knowledge
and bliss cannot be described even positively - these are inherent states
of Supreme. Ignorance is absence of knowledge; but, what is knowledge? No
one can describe knowledge. It is 'svabhAva' - natural ' - inherent in
Supreme.
It is wrong to say that in the state of bliss, all desires are attained. To
say 'sarvAn kAmAn ApnOti' is a contradiction. Unless all such desires are
rid, that inherent state cannot be reached. There cannot be any desires in
the supreme state. If creation happened - bahu syAm - it is not a desire,
but only an expression of boundless joy - bliss - as a child's spontaneity
and playfulness without any purpose whatsoever. Probably, that is the
meaning of 'only children see the God'.
