[Advaita-l] [advaitin] Asked of Chatgpt: "Are there any definitions or descriptions that depict a positive ignorance in Sankara's commentary on the Brahma Sutras or classic 10 Upanishads whether in context or otherwise?

Bhaskarji - PraNAms
Let us ask how the snake projection occurs where there is a rope. Looking at the Adhyaasa bhaashya, it is clear for me that the projection is made by the mind based on the partical attributes that are common to the rope and the snake - it is five feet long, lying on the path, soft when stepped on it, and I heard that there are lot of snakes around - Mind therefore projects a snake (for security reasons also) based on the partial attributes - it does not project elephant there. Studying the adhyaas bhaashya - it is clear (to me) that there are partial attributes - existence, it is out there, etc for projection of the world of plurality. Vidyaaranyas sloka - asti bhaati priyam ruupam, naamam, in this five the first three belongs to Brahman and the last two to the world.
Lot of discussion on this topic, did not follow many.

Here after reading this statement, //this false knowledge is a result of adhyAsa//!!  I remember objection by Sri Venkatraghavan prabhuji, he asked whether adhyAsa leads to adhyAsa, is this what bhAshyakAra saying according to Sri SSS ??  I reckon this statement needs little more elaboration coz. we agree that false knowledge is itself adhyAsa (misconception) saying this misconception (false knowledge) is a result of adhyAsa (misconception/false knowledge) looks little absurd and having the punarukti dOsha.
