यज्ञेशं यज्ञपुरुषं केचिदिच्छन्ति तत्परं ।
केचिद्विष्णुं हरं केचित् केचिद् ब्रह्माणमीश्वरं ।। ३८२.१८ ।।
इन्द्रादिनामभिः केचित् सूर्य्यं सोमञ्च कालकम् ।
ब्रह्मादिस्तम्भपर्यन्तं जगद्विष्णुं वदन्ति च ।। ३८२.१९ ।।
स विष्णुः परमं ब्रह्म यतो नावर्त्तते पुनः ।

Some people call Brahman as Vishnu, Hara and Brahmaa. Names of Indra, etc.
gods are also the same as Brahman. Sun, moon, all are Brahman. From Brahman
to the smallest insect, the whole world is Vishnu. On the other hand, those
who have realized that Brahman Vishnu as the pervasive Chaitanyam are the
libertaed ones.
Some of the Sruti Smriti verses quoted by Shankara in the Brahma Sutra
Bhasya correspond to this Agni puranic teaching:
‘इन्द्रं मित्रं वरुणमग्निमाहुः’ (ऋ. १ । १९४ । ४६) इति श्रुतेः ; ‘एष
ब्रह्मैष इन्द्र एष प्रजापतिरेते सर्वे देवाः’ (ऐ. उ. ३ । १ । ३) इति च
श्रुतेः ; स्मृतेश्च — ‘एतमेके वदन्त्यग्निं मनुमन्ये प्रजापतिम्’ (मनु. १२ ।
१२३) इति,
All the deities like Indra, Agni, Varuna, Surya, and Prajapati are that
Brahman.
