[Advaita-l] How does Brahman witness everything?

In the 13th chapter of the Bhagavad Gita at the beginning is said the
Kshetrajna is Knower and the Kshetra is the known. Towards  the end of this
chapter the analogy of the Sun, being one only, illuminating everything is
given to show that the Kshetrajna, Brahman, the witness consciousness,
illuminates everything that is insentient. This shows that the witness
consciousness does not need any instrument to be a witness/omniscient. It
is sufficient that the insentient world is within the range of the
consciousness.  There is no volition on the part of Brahma to illuminate
the world.  सविता प्रकाशते (the 'sun shines'  and not the' sun illuminates'
)    सविता प्रकाशयति |
