Namaste.
Where have I said vaikuntha is Moksha?? I said that the devotees of isvara
attain "krama mukti". What it means is that the upasaka reaches the
brhamaloka(vaikunta, kailasa etc) and attains gnana there. And at the the
time of pralaya he attains brahmaikya.

As you have stated a story from bagavtham. There are enough stories in it
like cases of ajimala, gajendra etc who reached vishnu through bakthi and
attained krama mukthi.
