Use of the adjective in one place is enough representation for its
application in all places where not said. This is called 'upalakshanam'.
Those who hold there is no ignorance in deep sleep have not understood this
concept and they have glossed over this adjective of Shankara. That is why
a proper study under a competent Acharya is insisted upon rather than
self-study which gives rise to confusion.
