I have great respect for Tambrahms because they have suffered enough just like Kashmir brahmins. Whether Iyers or Iyengars, both are very resourceful, intelligent, industrious and what not. I have come across some excellent Iyengars with godlike conduct and envious pAnditya. Pity that they all are obsessed about petty things instead of looking at the bigger picture.

Namaste
I remember reading in a old book for the Brahmin population in entire
country 75% are Advaitis, 15% are Visistadvaitis, 5% are Dvaitis and
remaining 5% are from other Matas like Vallabha, Nimbarka and so on. Is
this correct today? But in some local areas you can see Dvaitis are
majority and some other areas Srivaishnavas have dominated. Moreover there
are lot of intermarriages and the family members don't know what they are.
