My present reply is for the purpose of directing you to a scholarly work on the Khecarividya of the Hatha Yogis. Do refer to the work of James Mallinson called 'Khecarividya of Adinatha’. He not only wrote about it but also supposedly practiced by even cutting the base of the tongue to insert the tongue into the posterior cavity. Warmest regards.

Dear Sir, Thanks for your reply and comments and sorry for crossing the line.I might have put my question wrongly. The reason for asking this question is that during the recent Yoga day camp at our place, one of the yoga teacher talked about some 'Kechari' mudra, may be a highest yogic exercise, very difficult to practice. It is something related to rechaka-puraka/kumbhaka, finally holding the breath inside (not breathlessness).Lahiri mahaaseya of benares used to be in this state for longertime.
my intention is some thing related to this.Sri Guru Padaravindarpana MastuKameswara

The rainbow body has got nothing to do with Jivanmukti. And such ideas are not found in Adi Shankara’s works (at least in his prasthana traya commentaries). The closest you get to ideas about bodily transformation occur in Hatha Yoga texts.
There is no need to achieve breathlessness as the Self is unaffected and untouched by breath. Continue to breathe please.

Dear Sir's, When I was reading Tibetan Buddhist Monk's works I came across a word called 'Rainbow body'. Will it be same as Jivanmukta, i.e being liberated While living.
Did Adi shankaracharya talked about this or mentioned in any of his works? Why I was putting this question is that his nirvana from the physical world is by walking to kailasha. Then how to reach state called breathlessness while living?
