In nrsimha tapaniya upanishad we have this expression thrice, twice as deep
sleep, and once as pure consciousness:

वै ब्रह्माभयं हि वै ब्रह्म भवति य एवं वेदेति
रहस्यमनुज्ञैकरसो ह्ययमात्मा प्रज्ञानघन
एवायं यस्मात्सर्वात्पुरतः सुविभातोऽतश्चिद्धन   All this is in the context
of Brahman. Even the word Brahma is there in this sentence.

In a work of Shankara there occurs this:   ॥ ब्रह्मज्ञानावलीमाला ॥
