[Advaita-l] Vinayaka(s)

Namaste

The Manavagrhyasutra and the Yajnavalkya smrti present four different
Vinayakas who are considered evil. They are spirits who possess people and
create obstacles in the secular and religious endeavours.

It is possible that Shankara was referring to these spirits as opposed to
the Vinayaka that I worshipped this morning. :)
