 Namaste

खर्जूरबीजवद् गुह्यमिति ज्ञात्वापि मन्दधीः ।

कामार्तस्तरुणीं दृष्ट्वा न ततो विनिवर्तते ॥

Young women are like the sweet dates with hidden hard seeds in them.
But the dull minded fellow troubled with passion even knowing this
will not turn away from them.

श्वासनेत्रनिरोधेन न शक्यं तत्त्वदर्शनम् ।

सद्भ्यो गुरुभ्यो यज्ज्ञातं तत्तत्त्वमिति भावय ॥

The Truth is not experienced by controlling breath and closing eyes.
Know the Truth as known through the Sadguru.

विद्वान् बहुश्रुतो वापि मूर्खो न गुणवान् भवेत् ।

क्षीरेण क्षालितोऽङ्गारो जहाति किमु कृष्णताम् ॥

The Fool may be scholarly and very learned. But he will not become
virtuous. Even if you wash the black coal with milk will it give up
its black colour?

विवेकरहिता मूढा दूषयेयुर्विपश्चितः ।

वीथ्यां गजं समालोक्य शुनको बुक्कते यथा ॥

The stupid people with no Viveka or Discrimination will find faults in
the Wise like the street dog barks seeing the elephant.
