My opinion is that the above "contradiction" disappears if one attributes the actions to a Yogeshvara

There is a beautiful analysis on "rAsa-krIDa" by shri rAmabhadrAchArya by the name "rAsa-panchAdhyAyi vimarshaH".  Pls go thru it.
