Kindly read the details in the Sutra Bhashya 1-3-28 in the links.
Sphota is described and rejected by Adi Sankara. 'The Vedic sounds are
eternal and that there is no logical fallacy in the doctrine that
through them has been created the entire universe including the gods'.
