[Advaita-l] Who is anya devata?

yAnti devavratAH devAN pitRR^in yAnti pitRvratAH
bhUtAni yAnti bhUtejyO yAnti madyAjinO'pi mAm ||BG 9.25||

In his commentary, Sankaracharya specifically refers to Vinayaka etc.
as example of anya devatas. But Sankarites worship Vinayaka and
probably because kozhukkattai is more attractive!

What is the scholarly opinion on who is anya devata according to advaitins?
