PraNAms to all

According to Indian philosophical tradition there are 12 recognized darShaNaas - six are called aasthika and six are called naasthika - here aasthika means those who believe Veda as pramANa and naasthika means those who do not believe Veda as pramANa.

Under aasthika - comes saankhya, yoga, nyaaya, vaisheShika, puurva miimaamsa and uttara miimaamsa. The naasthika philosophies include caarvaaka, four buddhistic philosophies, and Jaina.
Further classification in terms theistic atheism and atheistic theism is possible in terms of existence of God or not. In that sense saankhya comes under theosistic atheism - as God is not the fundamental cause for creation.

DarshaNikaas use these as part of puurva paksha in establishing their theory.

Sankhya sutra says that the existence of God cannot be proved. So Sankhya is Godless but not atheistic. Most of the Hindu scholars do not know this thing about Sankhya. Sankhyakarika is the shortened version of Sankhya sutra.

The theistic-atheistic distinction is a western concept that cannot be
directly mapped onto the Indic traditions.
