neat idea, Anbu -- but elitist and demeaning ? Perhaps the king was a Sudra
who used his intelligence to become king ? Any substantiation for this in
the story ? Is sorrow unintelligent ?

The word Sudhra was used to denote that the king did not use his intellect.
In fact all those irrespective of their varna who do not use their intellect
eventually become Sudharas.
