Namaste.
Isnt this slokam propitiating Lord Vignesha instead of vishNu (as in
mahavishNu)? One who removes all obstacles (vignam = obstacles) is
Lord Ganesha. Hence this prayer is for Him and then it proceeds with the
other verses.
