SankarAcArya's bhagavad gItA bhAshya: 2. 19-20

I had earlier written that the two gItA verses 2. 19-20 are seen in the
second vallI of the kaTha upanishad, as verses 18-19.

To clarify, the kaTha upanishad verses have a slightly different wording
from the ones in the gItA, but mean essentially the same. Also, the order of
the two verses is reversed.

na jAyate mriyate vA vipaScin na ayaM kutaScin na babhUva kaScit |
ajo nityaS SASvato 'yam purANo na hanyate hanyamAne SarIre ||ka.up. 2.18||

hantA cen manyate hantuM hataS cen manyate hatam |
ubhau tau na vijAnIto na ayaM hanti na hanyate ||ka.up. 2. 19||

The corresponding gItA verses were -

>ya enaM vetti hantAraM yaS cainam manyate hatam |
>ubhau tau na vijAnIto na ayaM hanti na hanyate || 2. 19 ||

>na jAyate mriyate vA kadAcin na ayaM bhUtvA abhavitA vA na bhUyaH |
>ajo nityaS SASvato 'yaM purANo na hanyate hanyamAne SarIre || 2. 20 ||
