[Advaita-l] Brief notes on brahma

Here are some brief notes on the topic of brahma.
This is based on my understanding of these topic.
Using gItA as text for citation ...

- "brahma" is neither sat nor asat (gItA 13.12)
- That is, "brahma" is an "indifferent God" who is neither auspicious nor inauspicious
- Ishvara on the other hand is sat - "a caring god", who takes personal interest in 
  well being of his devotees
- "brahma" exists at the level of "akShara" tattva (gItA 8.3)
- That is, what be referred to as "brahma" is at level of "akShara puruSha" 
  of gItA 15.16
- It correct to say that from the perspective of "uttama puruSha" of
  gItA 15.17, "brahma" is "subordinate" to "puruShottama"
- Hence, it is correct to interpret "anAdi matparam" in gItA 13.12, on its
  face value, "beginning-less and subordinate (to puruShottama)".
- While it is good to understand "brahma", primary focus should be on
  "Ishvara bhakti", that is the savior, not just "brahma jnAna". 
  gItA, again and again and again stresses the importance of "Ishvara bhakti".
