Namaste Sudhanshu Ji,

The word तुच्छ (tuchCha) in DashashlOki verse 9 is used in the sense
of  ‘ unreal ’.

Commentary by Sri Madhusudhana Saraswati on verse 9 explains as follows.

// *अथ यदल्पम् तन्मर्त्यम्*  ( Ch Up 7-24-1)  इति  शृतेः
परिच्छिन्नत्वतुच्छत्वयोः समव्याप्तत्वात्परिच्छिन्नत्वनिवृत्या
तुच्छनिवृत्तिरित्याह – व्यापकत्वादिति  । //

// *atha yadalpam tanmartyam* ( Ch Up 7-24-1) iti shRRiteH
parichChinnatvatuchChatvayoH samavyAptatvAtparichChinnatvanivRRityA
tuchChanivRRittirityAha  -- vyApakatvAditi | //

Notes by P.C.Divanji observes as follows

//  परिच्छिन्नत्वतुच्छत्वयोः समव्याप्तत्वात् – परिच्छिन्नत्वम्  means  **
the quality of being circumscribed or limited ** and तुच्छत्वम् ‘the
quality of being unreal’. These terms are coextensive because of the text
**अथ यदल्पम् तन्मर्त्यम्** //.
